Hello,I have gone thru 3 fuel pumps and 2 fuel pump regulators on my carburated 914. The pressure continuously fluxuated from 0-6.0. At some point during this time my alternator regulator went bad. I then switched to a rotary pump self-regulated at 3.0 psi. Not knowing that it had gone bad. The car ran fine for a while, but would shoot up to 6.0 and stay there. I replaced the alternator and regulator and the fuel gauge still reads 6.0 making it impossible to start the car due to flooding. Could the regulation of the alternator cause this issue and I just need to buy yet another pump, or is the problem elsewhere?
