Gas Flap Cable

Body and Interior

Vehicle Information: Model: Carrera; Year: 1988; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2; Total Mileage: 45000;

Took her out for the final ride and fill up before moth balls and dryer sheets. Pull up to the pump, pull on the cable to pop gas door lid and the cable just kept coming. Contemplated using key to try and pry open but drove home instead. I got it open with an old shoe lace (very redneck). My question is there a set screw or something that holds the flap end of the cable? Could it have fallen down the drain tube? Part #?Thanks.
