gear lube


Model: 911S, Year:1973, Mileage:60000, Type of use:Street use only
I own a 73S and live in SW Fla. were it's pretty hot most of the year. I know you also own a 'S" and live where it's also hot. For years I have used SWEPCO 201. After start up and the first 1/4 mile my car shifts a little balky or notchy. When warm it shifts great. However, on a hot day after an hour of driving, the trans. becomes a little balky or notchy again. This is very slight compared to when cold,but, it appears when really hot,on a hot day, the gear lube thins out. I see that SWEPCO also has 210 gear lube(80-140) which is pertty thick when hot. Do you think there is any advantage or disadvantage to this thicker gear lube?
