Hard Start Issue for '84 3.2

Huntington Beach,

When the car sits overnight in the garage after driving, it takes several attempts cranking the engine to get it to fire. It will fire then stall on many of the cranking attempts. When it does finally start it takes up to a minute for the engine to reach normal idle and stop mis-firing. After this routine, the engine runs as expected without issue. It will consistantly and without issue start as normal after this routine. I believe this occurs when the engine temperature is not raised. The engine was just completely rebuilt with about 200 miles currently on it. Any help identifying this problem is appreciated.
