Heat Blowing Smoke

Heating and Ventilation

Vehicle Information: Model: Carrera Cabriolet; Year: 1985; Body Type: Convertible; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2 non-modifications; Total Mileage: 86,000;

I have a problem with my engine heat blower blowing a lot of smoke, I believe the unit is burning/burnt out. I had the same problem with the engine heat blower a number of years ago at approximately 62,000 miles and now at approx. 86,000 I seem to have the same problem. Is this coincidence or is there something more endemic. Is this a common problem, is there something else I should consider before replacing the blower, yet again. Is this indicative of a larger electrical problem?
