heat exchanger hose burning smell

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: 911; Year: 1984; Body Type: Targa; Engine (type, size, modifications): stock; Total Mileage: 95,000;

I installed SSIs and replaced the heat exchanger hoses with LOPREAN hoses (these are the after market hoses offered to in place of OEM hoses. I get a strong burning smell from the passemger side heater (week burning smell with driver side only on) and a buring smell from the motor after 20 minutes drive on a warm day. This is gone on since spring.Could I be slightly exceeding the max temp of LOPREAN hoses as a result of using them with SSIs on a 1984 motor?
