Hydraulic clutch

Vehicle Information: Model: 911SC; Year: 1979; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 159,000;

The previous owner installed a racing clutch which is not street friendly. This car is driven around town. Due to the clutch, it's easy to kill the engine when going from 1st to 2nd gear; this action takes considerable thought. Is it possible to install a hydraulic clutch (Porsche made these available in 1999) to make shifting from 1st to 2nd an easier operation? I realize I could re-install a standard cable clutch but feel that a hydraulic clutch would be easier for my husband to operate -- he's the one complaining about the current clutch. thanks
