I have been having an issue concerning idleing with my 1987 928S4. The car has been driven 82,000 miles. This has been happening for the last 2 years. I am the second owner and purchased the car in 1992 with 24,000 miles. The car is driven in the spring, summer, and fall then put away in the winter. Here's the problem. When I start the car it initially runs fine in every way. As the car warms up and the thermostat rises to approximately the the half way point, the normal operating temprature, the idle starts surging when I am stopped. It will surge between 250-750 RPM and if the the throttle is left alone will eventually stall. One other issue I am having is it seems when the car is really hot all of a sudden the fan blower will come on full blast, like the fan switch is set to the #4 position,  even if it is set to #1, #2, or #3 position. I would appreciate your thoughts on these issues.

Thank you,
