Electrical and Electronic

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 3.2; Year: 1989; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2; Total Mileage: 52,000;

The ignition switch on my 911 is sticking and not springing back when starting. I have to manually twist the key slightly to the left to disengage the starter from the flywheel and stop the horrible noise. Can the ignition switch be fixed, lubricated to spring back, or does it need to be replaced? If replacement is needed is it merely the electrical portion ($60) or the whole assembly ($650)????
