ignition? DME relay, breathing leak, bad breathing design????

hello-on this stock engine/car all is usually very well but recently i noticed a loss of pull when accelerating, and impossible to run up to redline even in 3rd gear. So incrementally I replaced the following: coil, o2 sensor, rotor, dist cap, ignition wires, spark plugs, both speed and the other sensor at the flywheel. All were Bosch parts in need of replacement. So- when it was all done the car responded well. Forever I have had a slight shutter or stutter between engagement of clutch / throttle application and reaching 2000RPM. With a all new ignition system components and resulting very good engine responses the slight cough on hard acceleration off the line is now intolerable. Since the car is stock it's heavy 3420 or so and I really need to clean this up and squeeze as much out of the first second after pressing the throttle as possible. If I can get it right I hope you'll give me some advise to improve her a bit, like maybe conservative chip might help open this engine up a bit. Anyway your thoughts on my slight but very annoying misfire off the line is my problem today.Thank you very much as usual!!
