I have a problem with my ignition system, i just got my new motor for my race car and before i had a just a points system (car was originaly a 912 but has been converted to 911e). My engine builder told me to use the cdi box with the new motor. after a few problems wiring up the cdi unit we finaly got it working. today we went to hook up the tach but it seems to be reading twice what it should be, looking at the diagrams there seems to be two parts we are missing. the rpm transducer and some other part that i cant think of at the moment. the way we had it hooked up was: terminal A- Positive side of coil, Terminal B- 12v switched, Terminal C- points & tach. please help me, if you could tell me what parts i am missing or if i am wiring it wrong. a stand-alone wiring diagram would be helpfull. also i have the correct tach and its brand new. sorry for the long post just thought that it would help if you knew the whole story. thanks
