Inconsistent Clutch Play

Transmission and Clutch

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 C2; Year: 1990; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.6; Total Mileage: 107000;

There is the standard initial play in the clutch pedal before you feel resistance. This clutch play varies depending on acceleration and deceleration. When I decelerate, that initial play increases. Sometimes when I brake really hard, the clutch pedal doesn't spring back. At this point, the clutch engages quickly as I let off the pedal. Now, when I accelerate, the play in the pedal decreases back to normal. And now the clutch engages more towards the end of pedal release.
