Interior heat goes to cool when idling

Heating and Ventilation

Model: Carrera, Year:2009, Mileage:7400, Type of use:Street use only
2009 Carrera Cabriolet 3.6 liter engine. Car takes quite a while to warm up enough so that hot air comes out of the heating vents. Once warmed up, the temperature of the air coming out of the vents drops very noticeably when car is idling at a stop light. My recollection (from last year) is that the drop is about 25-30 degrees (F), from about 130 degrees at the vent when at 2500 or so RPM to about 100-105 degrees at the vent at idle. Temperature picks up again once care starts moving. Dealer says that this is "normal".Air coming out at idle is not hot enough to dissipate the chill when driving top down in cool weather, or to keep up with heat loss on a zero degree day in the Northeast.
