Intermittant Stalling

Fuel System

Vehicle Information: Model: 911SC ; Year: 1980; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 50,000;

My car sits for a while (usually a couple to as many as 6 weeks) starts fine. However, I have noticed the following:1. Seems a little jerky and hesitant when in 2nd/3rd gear until it warms up. On occasions this will happen and it does not matter the speed or gear, but usually happens when tank is full or lower. The car is warmed up fully.1. The car will start jerking/hesitating and back firing very badly and then finally shutdown (stop). I can re-start the car and it immediately shuts down (stops) or starts the back firing again. To solve the problem I do one of the following after shutting off the ignition:A.Remove the cap from the gas tank and replace it after a few seconds- this works sometimes.B.Add fuel to the car-this works all the time.C.Add a fuel additive to the car(JB)-this works all the time.Any help would be greatCurtis
