Is it possible fouled plugs will keep it from running?

Engine

Vehicle Information: Year: 1999; Engine (type, size, modifications): Stock + supercharger installed; Total Mileage: 80000;

Auto would only run for a couple of seconds and shut down, if I held gas all the way in sometimes it woul keep running, but only under 1k rpm and struggle, If I let go of the gas it shuts down. Mech checked it and said comp calls only a fault for low grams from air-mass sensor. He looked at two of the spark plugs and said they were fouled, and that plugs could be the problem (Could it be?) Change will be done but is complicated due to the supercharger being in the way. Any other ideas if this does not work?
