Hi, I have a 2000 Porsche 996 with about 63,000 miles. The front bump stops look very dry and have mostly disintegrated and I need to replace them, but since I need to remove the struts, I thought that with 63,000 miles on them, I should upgrade to a set of Konis.

I've done quite a bit of research and have decided to go with the - Koni FSD Damper Set (Manufacturer Part #: 2100-4110).

My question is whether this is a good choice for my 996? I'm certain that someone on this forum has had a set of Koni FSDs and I wanted to get some feedback on whether this is a good choice vs. perhaps a set of Bilsteins. I can get the Koni FSDs for about $750 vs. the BilSteins, which would run me closer to about $1,000.

My main driving experience with my 996 is mostly street and highway driving. I do not take the car to the track, nor do we have winding hills in Miami...(I wish). So, its a rather typical street applicaiton.

Your experience and suggesitons are greatly appreciated, so that I can make an informed decision.

Best Regards,

Sergio
