The general warning light on my RS America illuminates, along with specific warning lights for brake fluid, brake wear, oil, fan belt, low fuel, and low washer fluid. This occurs at random times. After the warning light is extinguished using the button, the process recurs from time to time until finally the warning horn sounds, accompanied by the same warning lights. Sometimes the horn extinguishes and the warning lights go off; other times the car must be restarted to get things back to normal. I have inspected the brake system closely and can find nothing wrong. The brakes work perfectly. Everything else, including speedo and tach, continue to function. Disconnecting the battery for a while seems to clear the fault system and it can be a week or more until the drama begins again. I do not have a Bosch Hammer (and am not particularly interested in acquiring one),and am wondering where and how I might start to get a grip on this problem. This is a street/DE car. The only relevant modifications are brake wear sensors that were disconnected several years ago. Thanks,David Rossiter
