Model: 911 Targa, Year:1970, Mileage:55,000, Type of use:Both Street & Track
Hello: I have come across a 1970 911 Targa with a wide body kit on it in Ontario Canada for $4000 ,the car has some rust but easy fix ,the Eng was stuck but unstuck now,has not run for 15 years, but runs now with a miss in it idle, has headders,4 speed, wide tires rear,Fu fronts,Int oK,55,000 orig miles, and Webber carbs,am I getting in over my head or not,I can do a lot of the work my self .I can't afford to put out $15,000 to $20,000 for a nice 911 coupe at this point and just thought I would take my time fixing this one up ,I know about the spider gear that could crawl up into the tranny and trash it.and the clutch cable guides that ware ans so on but I have never owned one before and I thought this would be a good start . What do you think I should do . Thank you kindly. Kerry Ont Canada email ( accelerator )
