Engine

Model: 996, Year:1999, Mileage:44000, Type of use:Track use only
1999, 3.4. race car. Stock motor & ECU with lightweight flywheel. Ran great at Miller Motorsports 2 weeks ago. Pulled it out of the trailer to dyno it Friday and it only reached 224 RWHP. Ran it down the street and it went flat over 5,300, same as on the dyno. Changed both front 02 sensors that night and ran it Saturday with the same results- no power over 5,300. Experienced lots of white smoke on startup a few times at Miller indicating A/O seperator going bad so I ordered one and will install tomorrow morning. I ran it at idle and opened the oil filler cap without any difficulty. It slowed the motor downbut ran fine when I capped it. After a few minute the engine ran really rough and stopped with the cap on. I restarted and ran it some more and it would periodically get rough at idle but didn't shut off. Could the A/O seperator cause this or ?...Thanks for your time,JR Gordon
