lowering a 1990 964

Suspension and Steering

Vehicle Information: Model: C2; Year: 1990; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.6 L stock; Total Mileage: 138xxx;

I have a stock 1990 C2 which I have taken to a few Drivers Ed events. I would like to lower the car some (need some advice here; maybe 1"?). The suspension is stock with adjustable coil-over springs. Tires, wheels and alignment are stock front and rear.My question-do I need special tools (e.g. spring compressors, special spanner for the adjustable shock nut) to lower the car, and if so how can I get them? I'm aware that after lowering the car, I'll need to have the alignment adjusted, so what settings do you recommend for the alignment (assuming I'll still use the car for both road and track/DE events)? Thanks.
