Main Seal

Vehicle Information: Year: 1999; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 10500.;

I purchased this car 3 weeks ago and was advised by a porsche dealership the car needed a rear main seal. Since that time they did replace the main seal and a crankshaft seal. During the replacement they measured distance around the crankshaft to check for eccentricity.I was advised that the reading was at the upper limit but still within spec. Does this usually solve the problem or should I expect since it is not concentric that eventually I will have another leak and if so how long does it usually take to show a problem? Car comes off of factory warranty Dec. 2002, but I do have a extended Warranty.
