metal filings on drain plugs

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 SC; Year: 1982; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 71,000;

I have had the car for about 6 years and it has been serviced regularly. Generally I have had the the oil changed once or twice a year. I drive it about 2-3000 miles per year and participate in DE's and autocross. Just changed the oil myself for the first time(finally got a large enough oil drain pan) and noticed some metal filings on the drain plugs. Normal or cause for follow up testing? Also, oil pressure seems to be higher with the Porsche supplied filter vs the Mahle that the mechanic uses. Thanks.
