Hi, I'm looking for experience/opinion in using a metal valve stem in a Porsche OE wheel. I have 18" light alloy Carrera wheels, part nos. 996.362.134.05 (7.5" front) and 996.362.138.00 (9" rear).I found Porsche part no. 993.361.073.00 which is identified as a 'valve--steel.' These particular valves appear to be for option code XRC--18" sport techno wheels, but their part no. suggests they were originally for the hollow/light-weight wheels(?) Are these valves, or any other metal valve OK to use with other wheels that are fitted with standard 0.453" dia. rubber valve stems?Naturally, I am concerned with fitment, and also whether the valve clamps to wheel in such a manner as to avoid scratching or digging into the paint (looking to avoid aluminum/steel contact). Thanks,Brian
