new fuel pump placement and hookup

Fuel System

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 T; Year: 1972; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.7L RS, webers, 66 S cam, ; Total Mileage: 94000;

My fuel pump died recently (Bosch with 3 inlet/outlets) and I purchased a replacement which has 1 inlet and outlet from a Porsche parts place who told me it was all I needed. 1) in replacing it do you just take the return from the carbs and replace the T with a straight coupling to return to the tank? 2) other responses to previous questions seem to suggest that moving the fuel pump to the front of the car is better than the position above the rear axel. Where is a good location? what is the best way to wire it and attach it ? Thanks
