Noisy transmission after rebuilding 1975 911

Transmission

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 S; Year: 1975; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 95,500;

I had the 2.7 liter engine and 915/40 transmission rebuild at the same time. The transmission has proven to be very noisy while underway. When in gear and applying power, there is a distinct whine coming from what I believe is the tranny (when in neutral and coasting, no whine, when in gear, the whine is there). It is loud enough that I can hear the sound bouncing off of buildings as I drive by. All the gears appear to have some amount of whine. I replaced the transmission mounts, the shift linkage bushings, CV joints, clutch, etc. What is causing this whining sound? Is some whining normal? It wasn't there to this extent before the rebuild. I have a warranty on the powertrain. Should I return it? Thanks for your help and advice.
