I would like to fit 997 18" wheels on my 1999 911 C2. At the rear, the 997 wheel has an offset of 58 and the 996 is 65, thus requiring a 7mm spacer. The 997 front wheels have an offset of 57 while the 996 has an offset of 50. As I understand it, the 997 wheel will fit 7 mm outside the 50 offset wheel. Will the front increase in track cause a problem. If so, is there a remedy. Or have I completely misunderstood wheel offset?
