Oil - 1998 Carrera Modified

Engine

Model: 911, Year:1998, Mileage:73000, Type of use:Both Street & Track
I recently bought a 1988 Carerra, modified. 3.4, upgraded cams not full race, upgraded valve springs 7000 rpm redline, 10.5 cr, Authority chip and mass flow sensor. Turbo oil cooler center mouted in Ruf bumper. Slight oil weep at crankcase split but not enough to drip to garage floor, no rms leak. Previous owner states oil temp never exceeds mid point on dash mounted gauge on hot days at DE. No cats, case was not split when motor was upgraded to 3.4. It was assembled very loose and you can't run it in the garage when cold because of black smoke. When warm there is not color to the exhaust but obvious no emmission control odor. 2650 lbs. They've been using Castrol GTX 20-50. I use Mobil 1 in my 993s. Primary use will be DE but I drive it to the track.Should I continue to use conventional Castol or switch to Mobil 1, and why. Weight recommendation? Thanks!
