oil in intercooler

Vehicle Information: Year: 85 Turbo look cab; Engine (Size, Modifications): 3.3 turbo conversion ; Total Mileage: 50k;

I have an 85 Turbo look 911 that was converted to a 3.3 litre turbo engine and 4speed 930 trans by Alan Johnson. As far as I can tell the 930 block is a European 1982. The car has a k27 turbo, large intercooler, b&b exhaust, and aftermaket cams. Do you have any information on these type of conversions done in the late 80's?The car has run great until recently a fuel delivery problem has necessitated an inspection. After removing the intercooler I found oil inside the intercooler. I have read on your postings that oil can get into the intake tract. I'm unsure if the amount of oil I found is excessive. If it is excessive could this be a sign of turbo wear?
