oil leak

Vehicle Information: Model: cabriolet; Year: 1991; Body Type: Convertible; Engine (type, size, modifications): flat 6; Total Mileage: 141789;

I am a new but 84 YO porsche owner. This California car appears to be in fine shape. I have so far had installed Bilstein shocks and tie rods. We don't have a Porsche expert here in Abilene (at least I don't know of one) and the local Lincoln mechanic has done my work so far. The seemingly light oil leaks worry me some and I am ready to try to eliminate them. Dropping the engine is probably too much for the locals. I am not a mechanic but I am thinking that starting small might be a good way to begin, like replacing Oil Return tubes. Based on my reading there are probably other ways I could start. I'm thinking the tubes have not been replaced in the 16 years this car has been alive and O rings may have crystallized.. What do you think? Any recommendations are appreciated.Thanks,Don Duncan
