oil level and oill pressure


Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Carrera; Year: 1984; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2, Steve Wong Chip, Aftermarket Bypass & Exhaust; Total Mileage: 52,000;

1. Manual says to check oil at dipstick with engine running and warm (approximately 30 seconds after starting). Question is that oil level seems to change considerably after car is fully up to temperature, ie 10 minutes vs 30 seconds. This holds true with the both the dipstick and the oil level gauge. Is there an explanation? 2. Oil pressure gauge sometimes stays around 3 when in normal operating RPM but climbs to about 5 at 5000 RPM. At Other times it seems to hang at about 5 at only 3000 RPM? Is there an explanation for this?
