One of your suggestions concerning the low oil pressure in my 1985 911 was to check the oil relief valves. Is there another one besides the vertical one at the sump that I can check? When I take that one out, all that comes out is the spring and a metal part shaped like a bullet casing, does that sound right? Also, could the use of an oil filter such as a NAPA brand have an effect on oil pressure? I have read about the original oil filters having a pressure relief spring in them.
