Oil Pump

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Carrera Slant Nose; Year: 1986; Body Type: Targa; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2; Total Mileage: 110000;

I previously submitted a question about how much better the car ran after it was washed. The problem was an intermittent "miss" that acted as if the foot was suddently taken off the accelerator and then reapplied. You indicated that there was nothing mechanical or electric that could be "cleaned" by just washing the car.I recently realized that I usually added oil after the car was washed. The oil pan is now completely full and the car runs terrific. Is it possible that my problem increases as the engine oil gets down (say up to 2 quarts)? Could this be an oil pump problem?Thanks.
