oil starvation prevention

Recently experienced a motor failure associated with track driving involving high g-forces. Oil starvation and a spun rod bearing were suspected. Fortunately Porsche is replacing the motor even though it was a few months out of warranty after overrevving was ruled out at the dealer. Are there any modifications to decrease the risk of this reccurring, ie Brey-Krause oil sump pan increasing capacity by .5 quarts and adjusting baffling?
