I just saw your answer to this question and thought that I'd recommend a less expensive option for cars with working senders and gauges. The idea is to replace just the gauge face with a numbered face. This place sells high quality gauge faces for Porsches:http://www.newvintageusa.com/For $33 I bought a face with numbers for my oil temperature gauge and it looks great. I put the face on top of the original so I did not need to take the indicator needle off. The new faces matches the old faces VERY well; in the day or with the dashboard lights on.
