open holes in underside

Vehicle Information: Model: 911; Year: 1973; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 104000;

There are two open holes on the underside of my 1973. Both are about 1/4" dia. - and both are several inches from the outer edge of the car. One seems to open up in or near the rocker area near the driver footwell. The other one is on the passenger side and near the rear seat.I think I can find some rubber plugs under the car that seem to be plugging up holes that are symmetric to the open ones (i.e. on the other side of the car at the same location.Could these possibly be drain holes? Or are they something I should plug up - especially since it is now the rainy season here.BTW - these are not near the front drain holes with the rubber 'flattened soda-straw" drain tubes nor near the same tubes for the tailights.
