Open or Closed oil system on 3.0 carburetor car?


Vehicle Information: Model: 911 SC; Year: 1979; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 5 DE's;

The 911 SC had a 'closed' oil system with the CIS. Since having the 3.0 built as a GT3 class motor with weber carburetors, I get high pressure oil leakage from the filler neck when the car is 'pushed' hard for any length of time. I've noticed that (2.7 911S carburetor) race cars have a 'vented' oil system. I've even seen 'spill-over' hoses feeding into plastic containers adjecent to oil filler neck.My obvious question is should I retain the SC/CIS type 'colsed' oil system or should the system be vented now that the 3.0 is higher compression with webers?
