Oxygen sensor connector

Electrical

Vehicle Information: Year: 1983; Body Type: Cabriolet;

I have 1 1983 911SC Cab - the male connector for the oxygen sensor wire has basically fallen apart and is hanging by a few strands of wire - the connector is located on the left side of the engine bay and this is what the O2 sensor plugs into. How would I go about repairing this connection - the connector itself seems housed in some sort of insulation with the male connector in the center of the insulated material. What do I do - (other than run without the O2 sensor connected). Thanks, Harry
