performance chip & O2 sensor

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: 911; Year: 1985; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): stock flat six, see question; Total Mileage: 160000;

I have a 'fresh' motor and tranny, 20k miles. All stock except for free flow air filter, stock exchangers, NO 'cat' and after market muffler. I know you won't suggest a particular performance chip but was wondering if there is a difference in brands. I have seen many ads (authority, vertex, steve wong, etc.) and many more ranging in price from $30 TO $395. All claiming the same results. Would they all be similar for my set up? Second ques. Since I have owned the car(3yrs) it has been without the O2 sensor. When it is first started the idle fluctuates for 30 sec. and then it is fine at all rpm's all the time, good gas mileage. I live in a hot climate 'south florida' and run premeium gas. Is this fine? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!
