Firstly, thank you this wonderful forum. I have learnt a great deal by visiting this site. I know you have addressed short shifters before. I understand that Porsche offers its own brand of short shifter which my local dealer carries and is currently offering at similar a price to the B&M brand. What is your opinion of installing the "Porsche" kit? Many people give raves reviews after installing short shift kits; however, I don't want to create unnecessary wear/tear damage to my '00 S.Also please advise the function of the snorkel in the driver side air intake vent. I don't want to act like a lemming - but many people over several internet forums have removed this piece to enjoy a more aggresive sounding car during higher rpms. There are many speculations of its use ranging from debris prevention to decrease of noise. An educated answer from you would be appreciated, as well as, why it shouldn't be removed.
