Pre purchase inspection results and what they mean

Engine

Vehicle Information: Year: 1999; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.5L; Total Mileage: 64,XXX; Transmission: Tiptronic;

Hello Just had a pre-purchase inspection on a 99 boxster. This car had a list of items that needed some work the question is, what are these items and what do they mean? Are these reasonable, repairable, issues. meaning, that when done, the car should be reliable or is this car headed for a new engine? the issues are (as mentioned by the dealer {parts and labor total in brackets}):1) Spark Plug Tubes Leaking [$335]2) Oil separator [$315]3) Auto trans pan seeping, not leaking [$389]4) Right vario cam seal leaking [$92] Would a pre purchase inspection by a Dealer tell me if there is an RMS leak? I hope this makes some sense. I appreciate your thoughts and comments on this list and recommendations. What is your opinion on independent porsche service centers? and do you recommend any in the LA or Ventura County? Thanks for your time and I hope to hear from you soon (e-mail or phone is OK) I have owned an "83 911 sc and a 88 944. Both bought used and completely reliable daily drivers (944 195K, 911 135K). I hear so many scary stories about the 2.5 Boxsters and the 996 I am a little paranoid. Thanks for your time
