proper offset of wheel versus tire wheel width

Wheels and Tires

Vehicle Information: Year: 1997; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 53,000;

I have purchased a second set of wheels and tires.The stock set-up is:front 8 x 18, ET 52rear 10 x 18, ET 40The wheels that I purchased are:front 8.5 x 18, ET 52rear 9 x 18, ET 46I am using the stock size tires: Front 225 40 18 and Rear 285 30 18. The tires fit. The front rim overhangs the tire bead a little, looks similar to some race car setups. The Rear tires sidewall is pulled in instead of even with wheel. I have seen same race cars with this too.Should this set-up cause any long term problems that you can think of; Tracking or Handling etc.?
