Purchase of 1988 v. 1990 911

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Coupe; Year: 1988; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2; Total Mileage: 13150;

I expect to purchase a pre owned 911 with in the next few months. My budget is $32,000, and it is my hope that repairs in the first two years will be routine. In addition, I would like to own car that can be entered in shows, Porsche and other local events (but will need to wait until the car is 20 years for local). I hope to enjoy this car for 15 years. My decision is between;Dealer offered 1988 911 coupe with 13150 miles, good history and fully serviced including new tires, and 15,000 mile service. Car is being offered at $32,500.00 Granite Green color is not my favorite but might be a hit a the car shows.Private owner offering a 1990 911 Cab with 30,000 miles, good history but due for 30,000 mile service and new tires. Car is being offered at $30,000.00. Guards red is a favorite color (my 1977 930 being replaced is this color).Lastly neither of these cars has any brake work, what can I expect in the first 6000 miles (2 years usage)?Do I need to be concerned with oil leaks on the 1988 given the low mileage?Is horse power difference between the two cars noticeable?
