Rear window problem: no longer clear

Interior

Vehicle Information: Year: 2001; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.7 Liter; Total Mileage: 3000 miles;

I have used my Boxster sparingly. When I store it, I garage it with a Porsche car cover. My issue is that shortly after I bought the car (30-60 days) I noticed that the rear window had a patina on it and that it was no longer clear. Also I noticed that there is a small crease in it on the horizontal where it folds when I put the top down for use as a convertible.Is there any way I can restore the plastic window to its original state? I am wary of using cleaners on it because I don't want to use the wrong kind and cause damage to it. So far I have only used water + a soft rag. One owner I spoke with uses some kind of boat cleaner to make it clear. Do you have a recommendation?Also, I noticed that the '03 Boxster has a glass window for the rear. This is nice because it has a real defroster on it. Would it be possible to purchase this convertible top with a glass window for my '01 Boxster?Thank you for your help in this matter.Brooks Dougherty
