Rear window trim "magic trick"?

Body and Interior

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Carerra Coupe; Year: 1985; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2; Total Mileage: 158k;

I have replaced the rear window seal, and when I pulled the cord to get the window seal into place on the inside of the car, about 8 inches of the outer aluminum trim, at the roofline of the window, popped out of its groove in the seal. Is there a magic trick to get this trim back into its groove without having to remove the window and the seal (again) to get it back into place?
