Removing extra clear coat

Vehicle Information: Model: 996 C2; Year: 2004; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 800;

I just noticed a bumpy spot of clear coat on the front edge of the right front fender, just below the headlight. This spot appears to be caused by excessive/running clear coat. The shape is like an up-side-down T. Now that I found it, I see it all the time, and it bothers me -- Was this possible at Porsche's paint shop? Or this was a dealer repaired spot? I checked and could not find anything obvious(?) Maybe I do not know where to look....Since the car is pretty new, should I make the dealer "fix" this? Or would you recommend I should try to correct this myself? Is the do-it-yourself procedure easy follow? Could you show me how to do this and what chemicals I will need?Many thanks.
