Repair or Replace 1981 911SC leather dash

Vehicle Information: Model: 911SC; Year: 1981; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 5,200 original miles;

This is a very low mileage original 911 and I want to do the right thing in correcting the problem with the leather dash which has some areas where the leather has raised and bubbled a bit. How do I correct this in a manner which will not detract from the originality and value of the car?Some time ago I contacted Porsche Parts and got some mixed information ranging from the dash is no longer available new from Porsche to the dash is available but the wait could be many, many months and the price could approach the $2,000.00 range.I am having a problem getting good reliable and accurate infomation.Could you please advise me?Thank you.P.S.Is repair a realistic possibility and if so where do I find someone good and qualified?
