Rim damage from track use? UPDATED

Wheels and Tires

Vehicle Information: Model : 911 GT3; Year: 2007; Mileage: 1500;

I recently bought this car new, it comes with track tires, which I took off to save for that purpose and purchased a set of used GT3 rims that are not as good as new. I have left the track tires on the new rims because I did not want to put them through a mount an dismount unless i have to. Question, I am going to do a DE event, does the heavy braking associated with that cause any rim damage by hot brake shavings hitting the rims or anything like that. I understand I always run the risk of a flat but does that type of braking do any pitting of the rims? It is amazing what an idle mind can come up with.
