On a cold start my car will barely Idle. In fact it will stall a few times. Once warm, it will idle a bit better, but nothing to write home about. It also bucks, cold or warm. And did I mention a ton of backfiring? My mechanic is insistent that it is a vacuum leak, based on the fact that there is no change in idle when the oil cap is removed. With that in mind, I sprayed all the vacuum lines, as well as the intake manifold base with carb cleaner to see if there would be a change. There was nothing. Could this be a vacuum leak despite the checks I made? If so, where should I begin looking?Thank you in advance for your time.
