Hi Chris. My '85 Carrera is a Rest of World model. I pulled the drivers seat to do a preventative replacement of the DME relay this weekend. While in there, I wanted to confirm the part number on the Motronic ECU right there under the seat. I could see where a lable had come off the top of the unit at some point. I unbolted the unit and could not find a part number anywhere on the outside. My curiousity getting the best of me, I popped the cover off of the unit and still could find no part number anywhere on the inside. My question(s), is there any way to verify the part number of a Motronic ECU to confirm that it is the original RoW unit? Would or could replacement of this unit with a US spec version be a part of the Federalization that the car had to undergo upon importation? That's really what I wanted to confirm one way or the other. Thanks for your time. I really appreciate what you do for the PCA and enjoy reading all of your replys. Scott
