RS America Suspension

Suspension and Steering

Vehicle Information: Model: RS America; Year: 1993; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.6 , chipped, Cup clutch and Cup flywheel, primary and final muffler bypassed; Total Mileage: 70,000;

I am getting ready to change my suspension on my RS America and Joel has given me some good advice during the long planning process. I think I am close to having the plans complete. I currently have a PSS9 and use the car for mostly DE's and Club Racing, very little street use. I am going with mono balls, RS sway bars, 800# coil springs, and a JRZ RS Pro kit (double adjustable and have remote reservoirs)). Couple of questions, the shop that is doing the work is suggesting that I do 800lbs springs all around. Joel had recommended 600lbs up front and 800lbs in the rear. What difference will that make by having 800lbs all around? Any opinion which would be better for the set up I am going after? I also am re-thinking the remote reservoir shock set up because I am still not clear on the benefits of them. If I go with a JRZ RS (does not have a remote reservoir), am I giving anything up in performance? Thanks for your help. Rob
